black-wrestlers-playing-cards
Black Wrestlers Playing Cards | Athlétisme Wrestling — Walt & Pete®

A steady stance, a close grip, a shift in balance: Athlétisme Wrestling — Black Wrestlers Edition brings the movement and concentration of the sport into an illustrated playing-card deck. Created by Walt & Pete®, it places Black men and women at the center of a vintage-inspired sporting world. Tall gym windows, ring ropes, and training floors frame scenes of practice and competition, inviting a closer look at the athletes’ expressions, their positioning, and the shared effort within each encounter.

Historically inspired original illustrations give every Ace, Jack, Queen, and King a distinct wrestling scene. The Grappler appears on the Aces; The Challenger on the Jacks; The Technician on the Queens; and The Titleholder on the Kings. Black women feature across the Queens, with poses that bring preparation and technique into the court-card cast. Cream backgrounds, fine gold accents, navy clothing, burgundy details, and muted green Clubs establish a coordinated visual language. Traditional Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, and Clubs remain recognizable, while the number cards use familiar pip arrangements for ordinary card play.

The deck contains 55 cards: 52 standard playing cards, two distinct Jokers, and one Walt & Pete® collector card. The first Joker shows two wrestlers in navy and cream singlets meeting in a standing clinch. The second presents two bare-chested wrestlers in shorts practicing a standing rear waist hold. A shared navy-and-gold Art Deco back centers a pair of Black wrestlers within an octagonal motif. The coordinating muted navy tuck box carries matching sporting artwork on its front and separate Walt & Pete® stag branding on its back.

Choose it for a Black athlete, wrestling coach, or sports-art collector who appreciates representation in the objects they use and share. Bring the deck to a card night, give it as a considered sports gift, or display the box alongside illustrated art. Discover the Black Wrestlers Edition and welcome its sporting world to your table.
Walt & Pete® — Forgotten Moments, Forever Remembered.

Why you’ll love it

Black men and women featured in original wrestling illustrations.

A distinct illustrated scene on each of the 16 Ace and court cards.

Four wrestling-specific character titles across traditional suits.

Two individually illustrated Jokers and one collector card.

Coordinating navy tuck box and gold-accented Art Deco card back.

Product details

Edition: Athlétisme Wrestling — Black Wrestlers Edition

Brand and design: Walt & Pete®

Deck contents: 55 cards — 52 standard playing cards, two Jokers, one collector card

Artwork: Historically inspired original illustrations

Featured figures: Black male and female wrestlers

Suits: Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs

Court titles: Ace — The Grappler; Jack — The Challenger; Queen — The Technician; King — The Titleholder

Shared card back: Navy-and-gold Art Deco design with illustrated Black wrestlers

Packaging: Coordinating muted navy tuck box, illustrated front and branded back

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0247/4563/9988/files/12-Athletisme-Black-Wrestlers-Wrestling-Assembled-Box-Hero-2000x2000-300dpi.png?v=1791052425
