A steady stance, a close grip, a shift in balance: Athlétisme Wrestling — Black Wrestlers Edition brings the movement and concentration of the sport into an illustrated playing-card deck. Created by Walt & Pete®, it places Black men and women at the center of a vintage-inspired sporting world. Tall gym windows, ring ropes, and training floors frame scenes of practice and competition, inviting a closer look at the athletes’ expressions, their positioning, and the shared effort within each encounter.

Historically inspired original illustrations give every Ace, Jack, Queen, and King a distinct wrestling scene. The Grappler appears on the Aces; The Challenger on the Jacks; The Technician on the Queens; and The Titleholder on the Kings. Black women feature across the Queens, with poses that bring preparation and technique into the court-card cast. Cream backgrounds, fine gold accents, navy clothing, burgundy details, and muted green Clubs establish a coordinated visual language. Traditional Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, and Clubs remain recognizable, while the number cards use familiar pip arrangements for ordinary card play.

The deck contains 55 cards: 52 standard playing cards, two distinct Jokers, and one Walt & Pete® collector card. The first Joker shows two wrestlers in navy and cream singlets meeting in a standing clinch. The second presents two bare-chested wrestlers in shorts practicing a standing rear waist hold. A shared navy-and-gold Art Deco back centers a pair of Black wrestlers within an octagonal motif. The coordinating muted navy tuck box carries matching sporting artwork on its front and separate Walt & Pete® stag branding on its back.
