The Full Moon Saloon design preserves the history of a former gay men’s bar located at 302 S. Nebraska Avenue in Tampa, Florida. A surviving advertisement documents its grand opening on Wednesday, December 1, 1999, followed by a five-night opening celebration.

The Tampa establishment was promoted as a companion to Orlando’s Full Moon Saloon, which was celebrating its tenth anniversary that same month. Its opening schedule included Leather Night, Bears Night Out, Cruise Night, extended weekend hours, and monthly full-moon parties—programming that positioned the bar particularly within Tampa’s gay leather and bear communities.

The Nebraska Avenue location was later associated with Tampa Eagle, continuing its place within the city’s LGBTQ nightlife landscape. The Full Moon Saloon is no longer operating, but its surviving logo and opening advertisement provide a tangible record of a gathering place that might otherwise disappear from Tampa’s public history.

This shirt features a reconstructed front logo based closely on a surviving Full Moon Saloon artifact. The back transforms the documented December 1999 grand-opening advertisement into a bold commemorative graphic, including the original address, opening dates, hours, and themed nights. The aged-cream and oxblood palette recalls late-1990s bar merchandise and printed nightlife ephemera.
