Paire 067 | Photobooth Series | The Joy of You Keepsake Box

Some photographs preserve an expression you can almost feel. In Paire 067, two men lean toward one another, smiling broadly, their attention caught within the small space between their faces. The Joy of You Keepsake Box reproduces this restored, colorized vintage portrait on a glossy ceramic tile lid. Its warmth makes a fitting companion to the objects we keep for personal reasons: jewelry, small tokens, and mementos that carry the memory of someone important.

The supplied photograph record estimates the image to circa 1935–1945. Both men wear light knit shirts, with striped suspenders visible on the man at the right. Their short, neatly styled hair and closely cropped figures give the image its period character, while their inward-facing expressions draw attention to their shared amusement. The softened background leaves the smiles at the center of the composition. Rather than facing outward toward the viewer, the men seem absorbed in the moment they are sharing.

Presented within Walt & Pete®’s Keepsake Boxes collection, this portrait makes room for joy in the way we encounter historical images of men together. For LGBTQ+ customers, it offers a meaningful connection to companionship, visible ease, and the pleasure of being close to someone. The men’s identities and relationship remain undocumented. The design title, The Joy of You, expresses the feeling the image can evoke for its present-day owner—a gift for someone whose company makes life brighter.

Varnished rubberwood construction and a soft felt-lined interior provide storage for jewelry and small personal mementos. The glossy ceramic image tile gives the box a distinctive presence on a dresser, bedside table, or shelf. Dual hinges hold the lid at 90 degrees when open, while a slip-resistant felt base helps prevent sliding. Available in three color options, it is a thoughtful anniversary, birthday, or chosen-family gift, connecting a smile preserved in a photograph with memories still being made.
